Functional Responsibilities:

The SSE shall plan, direct, and, if necessary, conduct regular, special, and integrated system test programs on virtualization equipment. The SSE shall prepare and conduct special reports and presentations that contain actionable information, which is pertinent to individual site operations. The SSE shall conduct integrated equipment system test. The SSE shall plan, prepare and conduct on the job training to the customer and junior Contractor personnel, as required. The SSE shall coordinate with other field engineers to the benefit of the customer. The SSE shall support the unit with other duties as assigned within the scope of work. The SSE shall plan, lead and, if necessary, conduct site-surveys and uses the information acquired to produce a complete delineation of products and services, support equipment, computer, and electronic equipment installations required for the site to fully support mission operations.

Relevant Experience:

  • Top-Secret clearance is required.
  • Provide escalation level technical support to field personnel on WSUS and MECM products
  • Develop, integrate, document, validate, deploy and support equipment and technologies related to Microsoft Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
  • Systems/Equipment Installation and Implementation. Install, configure, implement, and validate installation of components to systems. Components include but are not limited to:
  • Microsoft (current Version) Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
  • Microsoft (current Version) Windows Server Update Services
  • Microsoft (current Version) SQL Backend as required to support System Center products
  • Hypervisors and virtualization sub-systems
  • Manage deployment packages on a variety of workstations, including physical and virtual end-user workstations and connected kiosks
  • Develop solutions for patching Windows Clustered servers including Storage Spaces Direct systems and Hyperconverged systems
  • Integration knowledge of Microsoft System Center products. Currently in use but not limited to the following:
  • Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) current Version
  • Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) current version
  • Microsoft Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) current version
  • Microsoft System Center Service Manager (SCSM) current version
  • Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) current version
  • Microsoft SQL Server current version
  • Install, configure, implement, and validate cloud (examples: Azure, AWS) infrastructure systems
  • Install, configure, implement, and validate on premise cloud (examples: Azure, AWS, OpenStack) infrastructure systems integrating product solutions where appropriate

  • Microsoft Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) current version

  • Cloud infrastructure systems (examples: Azure, AWS)
  • On premise cloud infrastructure systems (examples: Azure, AWS, OpenStack)

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

Four (4) year college degree in software engineering, information technology, computer science, computer engineering, plus five (5) years’ experience designing and implementing MECM systems in a production environment. experience or in lieu of education ten (10) plus years of experience designing and implementing MECM systems in a production environment.
