Functional Responsibilities:

The SA-Linux shall maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade various Linux-based servers and capabilities that are part of supported enclaves. The SA- Linux shall provision, install, configure and maintain systems hardware, software, and infrastructure. The SA-Linux shall have knowledge about a wide range of computers, networks and related software. The SA-Linux shall work with end users and develop knowledge of their unique tools and apply sound system principals to apply recommendations for solutions within the guidance of the requisite program management. System Administrators will perform their support roles for multiple end- user sites, both locally and remotely. The SA-Linux shall have proven experience maintaining and configuring both physical and virtual Linux servers, as well as containers and container hosting technologies. The SA-Linux shall have experience deploying and supporting Linux systems within a Microsoft Active Directory based environment. The SA-Linux shall support the unit with other duties as assigned within the scope of work.

Relevant Experience:

  • Top-Secret clearance is required.
  • Designing, prototyping, implementing, deploying, and supporting Linux-based servers and software across an enterprise environment
  • Deploy, secure, maintain, manage, administer, and implement Linux servers and systems in a production environment
  • Integrating Linux-based services with an enterprise Microsoft Active Directory environment
  • Designing, prototype, implement, deploy, and support container services and containers across an enterprise environment
  • Providing ad-hoc network, client systems, online and telephonic support for related customer initiatives

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

Four (4) year degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience deploying, securing, maintaining, managing, administering, implementing Linux servers and systems in a production environment.
